Emmet Eaton utilizes their MEd in Counseling Psychology and Sport Psychology to support athletes in both performance and personal development. With nine years of collegiate coaching experience, most recently at Indiana University, they have worked with more than 20 Olympians and four world record holders. This experience has given them a deep understanding of the pressures athletes face, as well as the importance of enjoying the process at every level of sport.

Emmet’s work focuses on helping student-athletes develop greater self-awareness, understanding their thoughts, values, and habits, while equipping them with practical tools tailored to their individual needs, both in sport and in life.

Alongside their mental performance coaching practice, Emmet is a certified personal trainer. They integrate evidence-based training principles to create well-rounded programs that support both physical performance and longevity, helping clients build strength, confidence, and long-term sustainability in their training.

Laura Gomez Anez
Laura Gomez AnezLead Intern
Laura Gomez Anez is the Lead Intern at Everest Strong Coaching and a dedicated mental health advocate. She is a Presidential Scholar and Honors student at DePaul University, pursuing a double degree in Psychology (Human Services concentration) and French, with an expected graduation of June 2026. A former gymnast, she has also spent over four years coaching at Vernon Hills Gymnastics.

She is deeply engaged in the intersection of physical wellness and mental resilience. Laura served as President of DePaul’s CHAARG chapter, a national women’s health and wellness organization, where she led strategic planning and operations while fostering an inclusive culture centered on social and physical wellbeing. As a NASPA Certified Peer Health Educator at DePaul’s Center for Counseling and Wellness, she develops and facilitates programming focused on holistic health. She is also a research member at the Laboratory of Sport Resilience and Development.

Working closely with Dr. Karla Steingraber, Laura plays an active role in both project development and leadership of the internship program, providing guidance and support to her peers. Her experience spans clinical and community settings, working with children, adolescents, and college students, giving her a well-rounded perspective on resilience, performance, and overall wellness.
